Witchcraft in Menorca in the 17th and 18th centuries based on trials of faith: the case of Ses Erissones

Few names of "witches" are known in Menorca. Popular culture attributes to them supernatural powers used to perform all kinds of spells and evil practices. These women were persecuted and tried by the Holy Inquisition, being convicted and sentenced to death.

In Menorca, we know the case of Ses Erissones, the subject of research funded by the Menorca Insular Council and which will be presented by our lecturer Paula Pons, graduate in Humanities and Master in Archaeological Research.
