Networks and visibility between monuments in the Himalayas, the Caribbean and Menorca Talaiótica

Conference by researchers Tom Brughmans and Alejandra Galmés on new methodologies based on network analysis to understand connections and visual relationships between sites. Brughmans is one of the world's leading specialists in the application of network analysis in archaeology. The speakers will make a comparison between case studies in the Himalayas and Caribbean islands with Menorca Talaiótica. Part of the talk will be in English with Catalan translation.

Tom Brughmans is a professor at the Center for Urban Network Evolutions (UrbNet) at Aarhus University (Denmark). For her part, Alejandra Galmés Alba is Juan de la Cierva Postdoctoral Researcher at INCIPIT - CSIC, and is part of the ArqueoUIB Research Group (University of the Balearic Islands).
