Italian Conversation: "Parliamo di arte"
We are once again launching the Italian Conversation Club at the Museum of Menorca! And we are kicking things off in style, in collaboration with the Official School of Languages, with a very special proposal: the presentation of the book Narciso y la vanitas, by photographer Gianna Carrano Sune.
The book has a particularly close connection with the Museum, both through its subject matter and visual universe, and because the author used materials from the Museum’s collections, including several skulls, in some of her artistic proposals.
At this first meeting, we will have the opportunity to talk with the author and discover the story behind the book, exploring the connections between art, heritage, classical culture and the Italian language.
The conversation club is aimed at Italian speakers, students at the Official School of Languages and, in general, anyone who would like to practise or explore the Italian language and culture.
It will be an open and participatory space to share knowledge, exchange ideas and discover the connections that link Menorca with Italy. A different way to practise Italian: talking, sharing and looking at heritage from another perspective.
