Converses in Italian: "Let's talk about art"

In this third meeting of the EOI Maó Conversation Club we propose you to discover a painting by the Museum and the painter Pasqual Calbó. Between 1770 and 1778, the artist must be placed in Italy where he learned to paint first at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, and then in Rome at the French Academy. We will also talk about parallel topics, such as painting, art, music, and others that may arise taking into account the interests of the participants.

The activity is aimed at Italian-speaking people, students of the Official School of Languages of Mahon and, in general, anyone who is interested in learning about the Italian language and our heritage. It will also be an opportunity to explore the links that unite Menorca with the transalpine country. We want to create an open space where you can share knowledge and, at the same time, practice the language in a close and participatory atmosphere.

The activity will be led by Antonella Zorzi, with whom we will have the pleasure of discovering the fascinating story behind this piece.
